واتساب يتراجع عن قراره بعد موجة النزوح إلى Signal

-موقع الاستقلال- أعلن تطبيق “واتساب” المملوك لشركة فيسبوك تأجيل تعديل قواعد الخصوصية عقب احتجاجات المستخدمين، مبينا أن هناك الكثير من المعلومات الخاطئة حوله.
وقال التطبيق، في بيان اليوم (الجمعة)، إنه لن يتم تعليق أو حذف أي حساب في الثامن من فبراير المقبل كما كان مقرراً، وإن الشركة ملتزمة بالدفاع عن تقنية الأمان.
وأضاف أن الشركة ستقوم بمزيد من العمل لتوضيح المعلومات الخاطئة حول كيفية عمل الخصوصية والأمان، وستنتقل بعد ذلك لمراجعة السياسة قبل توفر خيارات العمل الجديدة في 15 مايو القادم.
يُذكر أن التحديثات الجديدة التي أثارت غضب المستخدمين كانت ستسمح بمشاركة بيانات المستخدمين مع شركة “فيسبوك”، إضافة إلى تخصيص مساحة للتفاعل مع الإعلانات، مما تسبب في هجرة معظم المستخدمين إلى تطبيقSignal. وهو ما أدركته وتداركته إدارة واتساب أخيرا بتأجيل تعديل قواعد الخصوصية.
